 QualityTHIEME has accorded a high value to a consistent quality policy and to production processes compatible with the environment for many years. This has led to certified quality and environment management systems. The management system is subject to regular external audits in order to monitor its effectiveness. Continous improvement in quality and environmental issues forms part of THIEME's corporate philosophy. THIEME defines some 20 to 25 continous improvement projects each year to this end, which contribute towards the optimization of its services. A continous improvement team ensures the implementation of our corporate policy by researching improvement possibilities and new technological developments. |

By transferring responsibility for environmental issues to all levels of the organization and by integrating environmental consultants into the company, the entire company will contribute to goal achievement. As a result, continuous improvement of operational environmental protection at THIEME will be promoted equally as strongly as environmentally friendly production. The company's flows of materials and energy will be used as a basis for determining the environmental aspect and for defining environmental relevance. The special importance of procurement methods will also become apparent from this. Environmental management is based on general environmental objectives, such as improving in-house environmental protection and reducing the quantity of waste and service media consumed. Environmental management is implemented in practical terms through projects with targets that are attained within a specified time frame. Enhancing the environmental awareness of our employees is just as important to us as the long-term planning of further developments in environmental technology. |
